Spud Day!

Every year in Shelley they celebrate the start of potato harvest with a parade and little fair in the park. This year we went down with some friends from the neighborhood and our kids had a blast.

The day started out quite nice considering it was pouring rain when we left our house. We all ate donuts and had hot chocolate while we waited. The girls were so excited for the parade to start!

As you could probably guess it started to rain, no POUR, soon after the parade started. Thanks to the Payne's who brought their camp awning we were all saved and were able to stay pretty dry. The candy was pretty soggy though!!

Addy loved the horses, but I think all in all the candy took over in the end. Of course she was so excited to just get one piece every time and eat it right a way.

Here are some of the kids watching the Shelley High wrestlers dodge paint balls for their fund raiser. We also enjoyed free baked potatoes and got a little shopping at the stands in before it started to rain again.
