Hannah's Thumb Infection

Hannah started to complain Monday morning that her thumb hurt really bad, so I looked at it and it looked okay, maybe a little red and I sent her on her way. On Tuesday she was still complaining that her thumb hurt so I looked at it again and there was some little bumps on it like a rash. I thought maybe it was shingles or something, so I called the doctor and the nurse said that she probably just had a viral rash and it should just go away but to call back if it doesn't improve or gets worse. On Wednesday night it started looking really bad and was turning purple and blistery. Thursday it looked even worse and she just cried because it hurt soooo bad. I called and made an appointment to see the doctor Friday morning, but sent a picture to my mom to see what she thought... ....didn't really think much about it again until about 6:30 that night when my mom calls kind of panicked and asks if there is a red line going up her arm. Sure enough there was, but since I looked at it so much I never really noticed (such an awesome mom). Long story short, and many phone calls later and a small panic attack I called the on call number and my doctor called me back. Since she wasn't running a fever or having any other symptoms he said that it sounded like an infection and he would just call her in a prescription because he wanted to get her started right away so it wouldn't keep spreading. By the next morning it looked better and it has taken a good two to three weeks but I think it is mostly healed. Poor little thing, she was so brave though and after the first couple of days was really good about taking her YUCKY medicine. I am so grateful that my mom noticed the line and that we were able to get on it right away and not end up in the emergency room with a very serious infection.

Halloween 2009

We had the busiest Halloween ever that seemed to drag on and on and on. Two carnivals, trick or treating, school parties, and a family party I was Halloweened out by the end...but the kids had a blast!!!Garrett in costume #1 - my cute puppy dog.Addy decided on a lady but for the third year in a row and Hannah was a combination of snow white and Belle (not what I would have picked but they were happy).Garrett Costume #2 - Fierce Growling Bear (and he actually spent most of the trick or treat time growling in his stroller it was so cute)

Our House

Our first little house, even though we have lived here for almost 4 years I think this is the first time we ever took a picture of our house. We thought we better get a picture before the snow arrives just in case Cory gets a job out of state and we have to put our house on the market before the snow melts. ...And our not so little yard, which we can't seem to keep up with. We vowed never to have this big of a yard again - unless of course we could afford someone to take care of it.

Fun with our Little Man

After a long day of entertaining he cuddled up with his puppy and fell asleep - such a priceless picture.
Baby Garrett - World Famous Pianist"I hope they call me on a mission, when I have grown a foot or two, or three, or more..." (he is 'wearing' Cory's suit)

Nothing like a cold wash cloth for new little teeth, or a drink.
Story time with Addy.

Spud Day 2009

We had an awesome, warm spud day this year which made it so much more fun!!!! YAY for sun! We went with the our friends the Dixon's and had a blast -we ate donuts while waiting for the festivities to start. Aren't they cute all lined up waiting for the parade to start. Watching the parade and then the frenzy to see who can get the most candy, but they all shared nicely and everyone got plenty and had fun!
And then there is Garrett and Cambrie just enjoying being outside and having so much to look at and so many people to watch. It was a fun day!

Addy's Preschool

A few girls from our neighborhood put together a little joy school twice a week. Addy was so excited to finally get to go to school like Hannah, and she didn't even care that it was at someones house she is just happy to be a big girl. We got to go to the zoo for preschool and the kids had fun seeing the animals and feeding the goats.

Family Pictures

A friend of mine took some family pictures for us, and they turned out so cute. This is our first ever real family picture and so I am really excited that they turned out so good. Now if I could just decide on my favorite poses and get some frames...decisions, decisions!?!

"You want me to do what???"

So sweet!

What a sweet baby!!! Always fun loving and the center of our family. He loves popsicles (and any food that might come his way) and is always interested in what everyone is doing.
