Hannah Turns Six
We had a full day birthday celebration, but of course I forgot my camera for most of the activities. We started the day out by going to the swim park in Pocatello with a few friends. We had cupcakes and swam for a short time until a lightening storm came and they made us leave the pool...we came home. It was beautiful and sunny at our house so the kids played in the water in the backyard. Then we had a ward luau that night that we attended complete with yummy food and great entertainment. Then Hannah got to open her presents, it was a good day!
Hannah's Lost Tooth
Hannah's first tooth had been loose all summer. She finally wiggled it enough that it was ready to come out, but she was a bit scared of actually getting it out. She insisted that it would just FALL out...
Before smile: Last smile with all her cute baby teeth.
I tried to pull it, Cory tried to pull it but as soon as it started to hurt a little she would close her mouth telling me that it would just FALL out by itself.
So we decided to let her do it on her own and we went for a walk, in the middle of our walk she came over to me holding her tooth. It just FELL out all by itself!
After Smile: One little hole on the bottom with the permanent tooth already coming through.
Preparing for the Tooth Fairy by putting the tooth under her pillow (hopefully the tooth fairy doesn't miss her).
Idaho State Fair
We have lived in Idaho for 5 years and this is the first year we have taken the kids to the fair. We were pleasantly surprised at how much fun we all had. We went with some friends and all the kids entered into the tractor pull contest... here they are all lined up waiting for their turn.
They all did really well and got cool ribbons at the end.
They had an entire kids section set-up with free activities for the kids to do and they could have stayed there for hours.
Wedding Dress Shopping
Hannah and I got to take a little mother-daughter road trip to Salt Lake where we met my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. We had so much fun looking for wedding dresses with Mandy and Hannah was such a good sport because we shopped ALL day (and I found out the day after we got home that she had UTI she had been fighting for over a week).
First Day of School
Addy is attending a preschool, taught by a friend of mine in the neighborhood. She is so excited to get to go to school like her big sister.
Garrett gets to stay home with mom but wanted to be in a picture too.
Hannah is in first grade and is excited to get to stay at school all day and eat lunch there.

Summer 2010 Wrap-up!
These are in backwards order, but here is the reader's digest version of what we spent the rest of our summer doing. We were busy as always and had lots of fun with family and friends.
The Family Camp-Out!
Cory and I at Mesa Falls
All of the grandkids/great-grandkids who were able to come.
Silly girls who were in seventh heaven with so many older girls to hang out with.
Damon and I enjoying the sun, as we hiked back to our cars it started to pour and we didn't' see the sun again until the day we left. It was a pretty cold, wet camping trip.
After many people left we took a four wheel
er ride to see the fish, and we got to see a mama moose and her baby too.

The Blue Angels!

We attended an airshow in Idaho Falls where the Blue Angels flew. We enjoyed seeing them practice over the course of the week but actually being there was so much better. The kids really enjoyed it except for when they would fly right overhead and the ground would shake. Garrett got a little scared.

Ammon Day!

We went with some friends to Ammon day, where the kids enjoyed free food, free bounce house jumping, and face painting.

After all the kids stuff we enjoyed a free dinner and then watched the Polynesian dancers.
Swimming Lessons!
Addy got to be in a class with her little friend and they had lots of fun. By the end she was able to float on her back and do a little swimming by herself. Althought we were lucky she continued when a couple of days in she got a little to far from the wall and was in a place she couldn't touch. The teacher was working with someone else and not paying much attention, and the life guard was zoned out as she looked at Addy bobbing in the water a couple of times. They have an observation area above the pool where parents can watch but they don't really like them right at the pool side. So I am up there watching the girls and entertaining Garrett when my friend turns to me and says, "Addy's drowning!" We were screaming and pounding on the window but no one at the pool could hear us, so I took off running to get her. As I passed the front desk I said, "My daughter is drowning." By the time I got to her one of the little girls had pulled her back to the wall, but she was a little shaken up as was I. We had lots of attention at this point from everyone at the pool. I was able to calm her down and she was very brave and even got back in the water doing awesome the rest of the time.
Hannah did excellent as well, and by the end of the class was able to swim the width of the pool by herself, but of course she has always been a little fish.
Utah Trip!
Utah Trip!
We met Von and Karen in Utah for an extened weekend to enjoy some summer activities with Mandy and Jamie.

We hiked bridal veil falls and spent a little time with our feet in the water. It was pretty warm outside but the water was freezing.

We went to the Bean museum at BYU and looked at all the dead animals. The kids also were able to see a live turtle and pet it. Garrett loved all the animals.

Jamie took us boating one afternoon and we had a blast. The girls each got a turn driving, the tubed, we swam, daddy wake-boarded and mommy sunk the tube (w/ Addy - for the record this is the third time she has 'drowned').

We spent one day a seven peaks water park, which by far exceeded all of our expectations!

Mandy and Hannah in the lazy river.

Garrett and mom going down the kid slide, he LOVED it!

Enchanted Forest!
The day before leaving Oregon we went to this fun park, that is all about fairy tales. The kids were so intrigued and had so much fun. The girls even got a chance to ride there very first roller coaster and Garrett loved the little kid rides he even got to ride the bumper boats by himself.

Grandpa made going down the slide so much more exciting.
The kids enjoyed exploring all of the little tunnels and houses to see what they would find.
