Dancing Divas

Lance and Ruth's reception was beautiful and because they held it at a reception center we just were able to enjoy visiting with family and friends. Hannah was the social butterfly, which is normal, and she made friends with all of Ruth's nieces and nephews. She told me after everyone left that these were all her cousins now, because Lance and Ruth got married. I didn't have the heart to tell her otherwise so, even though she probably will never see them again, she now has 20 something new cousins.

Addy wasn't feeling so hot, actually she was feeling quite hot to the touch, but needless to say she stayed pretty close to mom and dad, which made the reception quite enjoyable not having to chase her around. In this picture the drugs had kicked in and she was enjoying a dance with her number one hunk (aka daddy).

It was the perfect ending to a beautiful and wonderful day!!

Wedding Day Bliss

We have all been anticipating this day for some time, but none more than Lance and Ruth. If you look closely in almost all of these pictures Ruth truly is glowing. My kids have been talking about Lance and Ruth getting married for some time here are their thoughts:

Hannah: When we first told Hannah that Uncle Lance was getting married she said in a very disgusted (for lack of a better word) tone - "Why is he going to get married. I don't want him to get married!!" She was quite upset until she met Ruth when we visited Arizona in August. She of course fell in love with her, but was still very protective over her Uncle Lance the entire weekend. She even wanted to go with them when they left the reception.

Addy: I thought that she was too young to understand what was going on but man kids catch on to things so fast. The day of the wedding I was trying to get her to lay down and take a little rest, so I told her to lay down and when she got up we would go to the temple. She looked at me and said - "Temple. Married. Lance, Roop (Ruth)." I told her yes and she layed down and went to sleep.

Trip Number???

We have been on so many trips this year we lost count, but we have had lots and lots of fun. A couple of weeks ago the girls and I took a trip to Salt Lake to see my brother, Dallin, off to the MTC. Hannah had fun at his "last supper" shooting straw wrappers and drinking out of the same cup using two straws. Addy just played musical laps.

Once we got to the MTC the girls helped Dallin take his luggage to the right spot. They were pretty good through the little meeting, but then the tears started to flow. Hannah wanted to know why he was leaving and why we couldn't see him for a long time. Do you know how hard it is to explain these things while you are saying goodbye...it only made me cry more (maybe it has to do with the pregnancy, we'll blame it

on that). Addy was just sad because mommy was sad and she didn't understand why everyone was crying.

After we left the MTC I was telling Hannah that we could send letters and pictures and packages to Dallin while he was on his mission. I asked her what she thought she might like to send, here is her list:

1. Cookies

2. "a bit of lunch"

3. some wood so that he can build her a bird house

Where do kids come up with these things anyway???

It's A Boy!!!

For those of you who didn't know we are expecting our third baby on Feb. 22, 2009 and we are very excited. And as you may have guessed from the title we just found out that we are having a boy. Cory is SOOOOOO excited and was on the phone before we ever left the ultrasound office. The girls are ecstatic and I am pretty excited too. Here is the best picture we could get of his profile he was turned in so it was hard to see his little face, but at least he wasn't shy about showing off his stuff!!! :)
The girls thoughts and actions on having a baby:

1. Addy comes running into the kitchen with a baby doll down her shirt and says "Look mommy me have baby in tummy like you."

2. Hannah is talking to my mom on the phone and she says out of the blue, "If this is a crazy boy I am giving it to you!" (this was before we knew it was a boy.)

3. Addy is sitting on my lap one night looking at my expanding belly and says, "Open it and get baby out now." (if only it were that simple.)

Conference

My visiting teacher brought over some little conference coloring packets for the girls. So we set-up some little tables and chairs for the girls and gave them some coloring crayons. It lasted for about 15 minutes and then they were done. Maybe next year they will sit a little longer.

Haircuts

I decided that it was time for Hannah to get a real haircut. She wasn't so sure at first, she was afraid that it was going to hurt, but I assured her it would be the same as when mommy cuts it. I wanted it to be shorter and cleaned up a lot (she was kinda growing a tail).

I am so happy with the outcome and so is Hannah. It looks so much better and when I do it now she says "Now I look like a grown up!"

The plan was only to get Hannah's hair cut but in the end Addy came out with a new style too. Due to the fact that she has lost so much hair I decided to cut hers at the last second to see if we could make it look better and to let the new growth catch up.

I was a little sad at first but now that it is done I am really happy that I did it. I am hoping the she will get back to the beautiful head of hair she had just a few short months ago, but for now it looks a lot better.

Camping!?!

We spent the day in the mountains north of Idaho Falls with our friends. They always camp but becuase it gets so cold at night we are never brave enough to stay overnight in our tent. But we enjoy going up and visiting and letting the kids get super dirty and then coming home and taking hot showers and baths.

The bees were super bad this time and both of the girls got stung. These are pictures of Addy right after she got stung and then again after some time had passed. The other is of the guys trying to kill as many bees as possible, Hannah is a little nervous and ended up getting stung just before we left. It was so sad. Now they are both terrified of anything the flies.

We also celebrated Kayson's birthday while we were there. The girls had fun helping open presents, hitting and gathering the candy from the pinata and pretending to be spiderman. It was fun to watch them and Kayson had lots of fun.

Cory, saved the day when the pinata kept getting stuck in the tree. He got to use all those tree climbing skills he developed in his childhood!
