Our Ballerina
Hannah got to participate in a little 8 week dance class that one of our friends put together. She thought it was so much fun and was really sad when it was over. Here a some pictures that we took of her after the little recital.

Addy really wanted to dance with her sister, but she only lasted for about 15 minutes or so and then she would get bored and run around. Needless to say it was a fight every week to keep her out of the studio, but I thought these pictures were sweet!

What Happened???
So I promised myself after I had the baby I was going to be good about keeping my blog up to date. Obviously I have failed miserably and so I asked myself why it was so hard to accomplish this simple task? Answer: Hannah, Addy and Garrett...
...as I contemplated this answer I started to think that it wasn't the fact that they task was so hard, but the fact that my days seem to follow this pattern - 6:30/7:00 wake-up feed the baby, get ready for the day, Hannah off to school, get Addy dressed, pick up the house, feed the baby, change Addy's clothes, pick-up the house, get Hannah from preschool, change Addy's clothes, fix lunch, feed the baby, change Addy's clothes and put her down for a nap, get Hannah something to eat, clean the kitchen, feed the baby, change Addy's clothes, pick-up the house, fix dinner, feed the baby, baths and P.J.'s, brush teeth, Hannah in bed, change Addy's PJ's, Addy to bed, clean up dinner, feed the baby and fall exhausted into bed...and then remember as I drift off to sleep that yet another day has gone by and the blog still goes untouched (along with the laundry, the grocery shopping, cleaning the bathrooms, and all other things on my to do list). So I am not vowing to be better but I am going to try my hardest to squeeze in some time to keep things updated.

First Bath
My mom always gives my babies their first bath and I video tape. Garrett was pretty good in the bath, but he really relaxed when we got him out. My mom had the brilliant idea of putting our little space heater on the counter and having the warm air blowing so that he wouldn't get cold. It worked great and he was so content to just lay there in the warm air.

Sleeping Baby
If only we could all just fall asleep wherever we were when we got tired!!!
There is something so calming and peaceful about watching a sleeping baby, I could sit and do it all day.

Coming Home
My mom flew in from Seattle the day we brought Garrett home from the hospital. So we found a friend to watch the girls and she came from the airport to help us get ready to bring him home. She has always been able to be here soon after I have a baby to help and have some special bonding time with the new baby. Thanks for all your help mom!!!
Garrett like most babies screamed while I was getting him dressed in an outfit that was way TOO BIG for him, but once the clothes were on he was wide awake and ready to meet the world.
I think this was the only time, besides right after he was born, that he had his eyes open long enough for us to take a picture... he was sleepier then my girls were in the hospital.
All bundled up and ready to go out into the freezing cold world... I am not used to having to bundle the baby up it was hot with the girls being born in the summer.

The girls were so excited to come to the hospital and meet their new baby brother. Hannah was at dance when we left for the hospital, but called when she got home and asked when she could come and see baby Garrett....
Addy was excited to see him and hold him, but that lasted all of about 2 minutes. Here interest was more in exploring the hospital room and mom. It was a little crazy at times and she thought that the bed was a fun jungle-gym! Needless to say they didn't spend much time at the hospital!!
Cory's sister, Mandy, stayed with the girls while I was in labor. She helped them make these cute little signs welcoming baby Garrett to our family. They hung them on the wall in my room, and were so proud of their work. Thanks Mandy for all your help!!!
