My brother Dallin is serving his mission in North Carolina, so on his birthday we had a little birthday cake in honor of him. They sang happy birthday and even blew out the candle...he really turned 20 but we only had a '1' candle. It was kinda silly, but my girls had lots of fun...we sent these pictures to him in his birthday package. They miss their uncle!
My girls love to sing and dance and perform. One day they decided to be creative and use the heater vents as their instruments, and they put on a little concert. It was so cute and my favorite part was that they were not fighting, too bad it couldn't last a little longer.
My dad's birthday was a few days after Garrett's blessing so my parents stayed and we got to celebrate his birthday...which my kids thought was fabulous!Cory made sure that he had some gifts to open....but mostly the girls did the opening, and it wasn't all that exciting just some treats to enjoy on the long car ride home.
Not only were they willing to help open presents but they ready and willing to make sure the candles were good and out. We are so lucky to have family come and visit and get the opportunities to share special occasions together.
My cousin had a baby 2 months after Garrett was born (does that make them 2nd cousins or 1st cousins once removed...I can never remember). It is amazing the difference two months and a pound and a half birth weight makes. Garrett looks like a giant!!!
We blessed Garrett on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009. Here we are in the only family picture we took and of course the baby is crying, but hey at least the girls look half way decent because they would not cooperate in the pictures we took of just the kids (if you notice I did not include any kid pictures).
Garrett Von Taylor blessed by Cory. With lots of support from friends and family we are grateful to all who were able to attend and make such a special day. As you can tell from this picture he is getting plenty to eat and is growing like a weed (I guess the down fall of waiting a while to bless a baby is that they are not very tiny anymore).
Here are a few pictures with mom and dad and grandparents!
The Easter bunny visited our house and left lots a fun things for the kids, he also brought with him Cory's parents and the girls were so excited to see them. Here they are showing off their Easter baskets as they get ready to leave them out for the bunny...
The hunting was a blast, I always enjoy when the kids start to understand the whole finding the eggs thing. Hannah was sweet to her sister and would give her eggs that she found if it was the same color as one she already had in her basket...so thoughtful.
Addy would get so excited when she found and egg and when it was all done she kept asking where more eggs were. They made out pretty good though!
Garrett was just content to hang out with my mom! Here are the girls coloring Easter eggs which we postponed until Saturday night so that Cory's parents could be with us. As you can see in a ploy to keep their PJ's clean we made them take off their clothes...which was totally fine with them as they would rather run around the house in just the undies.
We are so excited to be able to keep everyone updated on our family. Like all of you know life gets so busy and it is so hard to keep in touch sometimes, so we are hoping that this will help to keep us in touch with everyone. Hope you enjoy!!
Will be five in the summer and tells everyone she gets to go to kindergarten next year. She loves primary, and playing with friends. She is still our social butterfly!
Addy
Will be three this summer and is full of it all (energy, personality, determination, etc.). She keeps us laughing and loves to be the center of attention. I also like to call her my "ME TOO" child as she always wants to do everything her sister does.
Garrett
Was born on February 10 and is such a sweet little guy. He is so easy going, a good sleeper and eater and we just love him to death!
