My dad's birthday was a few days after Garrett's blessing so my parents stayed and we got to celebrate his birthday...which my kids thought was fabulous!
Cory made sure that he had some gifts to open....but mostly the girls did the opening, and it wasn't all that exciting just some treats to enjoy on the long car ride home.
Not only were they willing to help open presents but they ready and willing to make sure the candles were good and out.
We are so lucky to have family come and visit and get the opportunities to share special occasions together.
