We woke-up this morning to a blanket of white and the girls were so excited. They started asking to go outside and play at 9:00 in the morning. I held them off until 11:30 and then we got them all bundled up and sent them out.
The three musketeers!!! Hannah, Sadie and Addy played and played outside and had so much fun....
...Rolling in the snow, chasing each other...
...Making big snowballs, and little ones.... and building a snowman that mom didn't get a picture of.
Since this was Addy's first real experience with snow (last year she was too little and didn't like it) so was so funny to watch. She liked to walk and watch the snow build up on her shoes, run, jump, and fall in the snow but most of all...
...she liked to eat the snow. I think she about ate half the backyard and I could always catch her putting more in her mouth. She was hilarous to watch!!! They stayed out and played for close to and hour and a half. It was a nice break for mom and a much needed energy burner for the girls.

Thanksgiving
We spent thanksgiving in Utah with my grandparents. It was small with only 7 of us but we had a really enjoyable day, and weekend. Hannah was given the assignment to help set the table, she did a wonderful job!!!
The table was beautiful!!!
Here the girls are eating their Thanksgiving feast, we had turkey and ham along with all of the trimmings. YUMMY!!!
About half way through the meal I look over to find that both my girls had decided that they really really liked turkey...
...the chocolate kind that is.
My grandma bought these adorable SOLID chocolate turkeys that we used for name place settings on the table, the girls thought they were cute, but that they tasted much better. Anyway we are so grateful for our families and for all they do for us. We so enjoy being with them during this time of year and we had lots of fun eating turkey, visiting and seeing the lights both at Thanksgiving Point and Temple Square (thanks to the chaos I forgot my camera both times).
Girls Night

We bought tickets two weeks early and still had to wait for a day after it was released. Anyway, we all really liked to movie and then we got to go to dinner and wander around town, because 8:30 was much too early to go home on a Saturday night with husbands in charge of the kids. It was so much fun, and a much needed break from the routine.

Make-Overs
The girls went over to my friend, Shera's, house for a few minutes while I ran to the church for an interview. While we were visiting they went downstairs and found her daughters little make-up case and decided to do some make-overs.
Hannah didn't too bad of a job I thought, for her first time, although she looks a little scary in this picture.
I am not sure if Addy did her own or Hannah helped, but it looks as if she was trying to paint her face in mascara! I am sure that Addy willingly let Hannah do the make-up she just wasn't too keen on having her picture taken with her sister, and Hannah was bound and determined to get a picture together.
Trick-or-Treat
Carving our Pumpkin
Halloween a month late!!!! I got so busy after Halloween trying to get things in my house organized and rearranged for the baby that I forgot to get these posted. So here they are, better late than never, right???

We didn't get around to even carving our pumpkin until 5:00 on Halloween (I guess we were really busy before Halloween too). The girls had lots of fun and believe it our not we actually had a "warm" Halloween for Idaho. As you can see we carved the pumpkin on the back porch and the girls didn't even have to wear coats, we almost forgot we were living in Idaho.

Hannah thought cleaning the guts out of the pumpkin was so cool. She couldn't wait to get all messy. Addy on the other hand wasn't so sure about all the goo and she just wanted to get her hands cleaned ASAP!

They were both super excited about the pumpkin seeds, but once they were cooked they weren't too sure if they thought they were all that great.

Goodnight Mom
My friend put this on her blog and I felt like it was describing me exactly. Anyway, thought that I would share it with all of you. It is very cute and helps me think that maybe my life really isn't all that terrible, it's just part of being a mom (at least that is what I am telling myself so that I don't get too discouraged.)
Goodnight Mom
In the messy green family room
There was a telemarketer ringing on the telephone
And a crying toddler because his brother just popped his red balloon
And a picture of--
The cow jumping over the moon(which someone colored on with permanent marker)
And there was a missing teddy bear, and a girl with gum in her hair
And one to be scolded
And laundry to be folded
And a very hungry spouse
And something stinky in the house(that no one else seemed to smell)
And a comb and a brush and a colicky baby who just won't shush
And a frazzled mommy screaming #*%#@
Goodnight messy room
Goodnight scribbled on moon
Goodnight cow getting out while she can
Goodnight telemarketers
And the popped balloon
Goodnight long-gone teddy bear
Goodnight cereal bar smeared all over the dining room chair
Goodnight spit up
And goodnight leaky sippy cup
Goodnight much-too-little house
And goodnight grumpy spouse
Goodnight comb and goodnight brush
And goodnight to a certain 4-year-old who just needs to hush right now I mean it
Goodnight Elmo
Goodnight toys we'll pick up tomorrow, or the next day
Goodnight noises everywhere
Hello ice cream and TiVo--"Me" time finally
